Universal Life Insurance renovation project was the restoration of a nearly 95-year-old building. This building is an iconic piece of history in Memphis that was once headquarters for many African- American entrepreneurs. The general contractor on this project was Montgomery Martin Contractors. American Millwork and Granite, Inc. fabricated and installed all the millwork and countertops in this space. Other elements or our scope included installation of solid surface material at window sills. This project took place because of Self-Tucker Architects effort to purchase and redesign the space. The firm’s office is now located in this building.
